The Blue-Eyed Crab Caribbean Grill & Rum Bar

The Blue-Eyed Crab Caribbean Grill & Rum Bar

My husband and I discovered a little gem in Plymouth, MA waterfront. The Blue-Eyed Crab Caribbean Grill & Rum Bar is a Caribbean-inspired bar and grill run by Chef Jim Casey.

The Blue-Eyed Crab opened in 2007 and is located along the seacoast in Plymouth. Chef Casey’s inventive menu of fresh seafood paired with creative cocktails straight from the Caribbean makes this a local favorite.  The fun and casual atmosphere is perfect for a quick lunch, after work cocktail, or a night out with friends and family.  Choose from the festive dining room or the outside patio to enjoy our excellent food and great service.

It is located at:

170 Water Street
Plymouth, MA 02360

Warm peanuts, Lobster and Crab Creole, Fried Calamari, Scorpion bowl

We went there in November but the outdoor seating looked like a great place to be outside in summer! We tried several dishes and highly recommend:

Appetizers:

Fried Calamari with an interesting sauce.

Lobster and Crab Creole – my favorite – such an interesting dish!

Warm Peanuts with chili – very very good.

Clam Chowder was nice but too much potatoes for my taste. I am more into more clams than potatoes!

Main Dish:

Fish Tacos – Mahi Mahi was awesome – lots of fish and not crispy fried and oily – very fresh.

Steak Tips – my husband really liked how it was marinated and cooked.

Coctails were great too – we tried Pear Cilantro Margarita (a little sweet for my taste), The Hummingbird Cocktail (my favorite, Mango Mai Tai (my husband favorite).

Next time you are in Plymouth stop at this place – you will never regret it! And dont forget the view!! Parking is on the streets or across the street public parking with plenty of spaces.
